Description Continuous Improvement Project Specialist At Mary Anns Baking Company Our Manufacturing capacity is growing as we continue to implement new production line technology. To aide in our ongoing growth and success, we invite you to join our team as a Continuous Improvement Project Specialist. In this role, you will help us drive initiatives in the improvement of our overall manufacturing processes (equipment, methodologies and people) within our organization and serve as our lead on a variety of projects. Activities include:
  • Identifying causes of manufacturing waste and working with a cross functional team to develop solutions
  • Develop and own the annual Continuous Improvement Plan
  • Utilize internal systems and tools to identify opportunities related to production downtime and develop solutions
  • Identify and report issues or non-conformances and drive resolutions and improvements
  • Identifies and implements new technology improvements
  • Analyzes operational methodologies and work processes to identify areas for improvement, conducts training on changes to staff and end users
  • Supports plant implementation of AM and PM by coaching supervisors/ managers to ensure their capability to lead work teams
  • Promotes a change of culture
  • Utilize and analyze data to make informed decisions that help support business needs
  • Provides employee training, deploying visual management, leading Kaizen improvement events, and promoting a lean culture
  • Provide expertise, strategic guidance and support to department leaders
  • Lead Lean/Six Sigma/Kaizan projects
  • Serve as Project Manager for assigned initiatives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Technology or related field.
  • Minimum three (3) years' Continuous Improvement experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working on process improvement projects
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Analytically minded
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to plan and manage priorities
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams across all levels of the organization
  • Ability to influence without authority
  • Being a change management agent
  • Formal Lean Six Sigma/Kaizan Certification and Experience Preferred
