OPPORTUNITY AT A GLANCE:In this position, you'll take on the crucial role of ensuring compliance with various contractual requirements. You will serve as a subject matter expert on terms and conditions, FAR and DFARs flow downs, lead contract negotiations and spearhead the review of our supply chain documentation to ensure continued contractual compliance.Though your primary responsibilities for this position revolve around compliance, the work will include continued collaboration with every department in support of their needs, as well as a focus on continuous improvement and learning for you as an individual and REDCOM as a company, when it comes to contractual requirements, government compliance, and constant changes in that space.The ideal candidate will have a passion for rigor and order, will have a strong attention to detail and a keen interest in understanding the associated operational activities of doing business with the government and defense markets and positioning the organization for compliance with internal and external requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES: - Contract Review
- This role will review and understand business purchasing terms and conditions, applicable Quality Management System requirements, and FAR/DFARs flow downs.
- Responsible for partnering with our legal counsel and engaging subject matter experts as needed to drive responses and organize and plan negotiations with contract officers and customers.
- Prepare and deliver contractual correspondence, change management, negotiations, and maintain contract files and records for objective evidence in compliance with regulatory, legal, and company policies.
- Collaborate with multiple departments and lead internal contract reviews to ensure final executed terms and conditions align with company policies and requirements. Ensure that our quotes, sales order acknowledgements, and customer PO all align with REDCOM terms and conditions.
- Maintain a database and reporting for all contracts which will include all FAR/DFARs requirements and contract specifics for delivery and lifecycle. May include oversight of DCMA and CAS requirements.
- Assist with new business opportunities and associated contract strategy as needed. Serve as a subject matter expert and provide guidance and support.
- Continuous research and learning on government contract and compliance changes and requirements. Ensure current and long-term compliance throughout the organization through periodic reviews, and participation in QMS internal audits.
- Compliance & Quality
- Partner with our quality management system staff to ensure compliance and communication across the organization.
- Partner with manufacturing, purchasing, and accounting on our Supplier selection and approval process, including reviewing, evaluation, and screening as required for compliance documentation obligations as it pertains to our supply chain.
- Fully execute FAR and DFARS Representations and Certifications and new supplier/vendor questionnaires and agreements from various agencies, official entities, and prime contractors with guidance from legal counsel and senior management.

- Collaborates routinely with other teams, including business development, sales, manufacturing, accounting, engineering, and operations.

- Demonstrates flexibility, versatility, and an ability to coordinate multiple concurrent priorities, seeking guidance as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUCCESS: - Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field and at least 3-5 years of experience in contract compliance within the defense industry - OR- Associate's degree in Business Administration or related field and at least 5 years of experience in contract compliance within the defense industry, including experience specific to business writing, presentations, and review of Terms & Conditions.
- Advanced knowledge of government contracts law, including FAR/DFARS and ITAR/EAR applicability.
OTHER DUTIES:Complete special projects and perform other duties as necessary.
SPECIAL WORKING CONDITIONS:REDCOM offers a highly flexible hybrid working environment. This role can work hybrid including designated in-office days, which we use for collaboration sessions and cross-department meetings.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Work is primarily an office environment. Visual acuity and the ability to read both on-screen and on-paper documentation is essential. Excellent command of the English language, both written and orally is required. Very infrequent lifting requirements could include moving a box or equipment, up to 10 pounds.
