Title: Contract Specialist

Location: Queens NY

Duration: Indefinite

Responsibilities include:

  • Assist in developing methodologies, analytical and automated models to study and evaluate administrative and operational problems and implement procedures to overcome them. Tasks will include assisting in the reconciliations process for design consultant contracts, Request for Proposal process, Contract Sub-Inclusion Process, Justification Memo-Additional Funding, language changes, and any A&E administrative management support role.
  • Liaise with outside vendors/consultants.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of a division-wide management plan.
  • Assist in problem identification and solutions and implement procedures to correct them. This includes the creation of Authorization to Proceed Requests (ATP Request) and ensuring compliance with internal procedures for compensating design consultants as per the client contract.
  • Conduct reviews or system audits designed to test the efficiency of new procedures.
  • Assist in resource allocation planning and analysis to support the objectives and goals of the Authority.
  • Prepare analytical reports on assigned projects.
  • Perform related duties, as assigned.

Weighted Consideration:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills. Intermediate to advanced skill level with Microsoft Suite applications.
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with relevant background or an equivalent combination of education and work experience, including at least five years of full-time experience in development and maintenance of management reporting, financial and data analysis.
