Location: Epes, AL

Duration: 6-8 month contract

Pay: $50-$70hr. NO OT Will be Available for this role.

Responsibilities:

  • A Site Contracts Manager typically oversees the management and administration of contracts at construction or project sites.
  • They work with project teams, contractors, vendors, and clients to ensure that all contracts are executed properly and according to legal and company standards.
  • Contract Management: Develop, negotiate, and manage contracts for construction, procurement, and services. Ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions.
  • Vendor & Subcontractor Oversight: Establish and maintain relationships with contractors, vendors, and suppliers, ensuring adherence to contractual obligations and project timelines.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks related to contract execution and develop mitigation strategies to protect project integrity and cost-effectiveness.
  • Budget & Cost Control: Monitor contract budgets, approve expenditures, and manage cost variations while ensuring compliance with financial guidelines.
  • Compliance & Legal Coordination: Ensure all contracts comply with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company policies. Work closely with legal teams to resolve any contractual disputes.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of contracts, amendments, and approvals. Provide regular reports on contract status, financials, and performance metrics.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with project managers, engineers, procurement teams, and senior leadership to align contract strategies with project goals.
  • Change Management: Manage change orders, claims, and contract modifications, ensuring they are properly documented and approved.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 8-10 years' experience in contract management. Preferred 12-15+ years of experience
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in construction management, business administration, law, or a related field. A professional certification in contract management or law (e.g., Certified Commercial Contracts Manager - CCCM) is a plus.
  • Experience: 7+ years of experience in contract management, with a focus on construction or project sites.
  • Prior experience in biomass, renewable energy, or heavy industrial construction projects.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of contract law, construction contracts, procurement procedures, and risk management.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously.
  • Proficient in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Working Conditions:
  • The role may involve on-site visits and may require travel depending on the location of the project.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
