Position Overview The Portfolio Security Analyst will play a key role in maintaining and organizing security-related information for our portfolio companies. This contract role reporting to PSG's Chief Information Security Officer involves keeping company data up to date, managing communication with various teams, and supporting the implementation of cybersecurity strategies. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to cybersecurity and growth equity while contributing to the security and compliance efforts of our portfolio companies. Responsibilities
  • Maintain a comprehensive database of relevant portfolio company information, including key personnel and metrics.
    • Communicate regularly across internal PSG teams and portfolio companies to gather and update information as needed.
    • Ensure integrity and accessibility of portfolio company data in key systems.
  • Track and document security-related activities, ensuring that all records are current and accurate.
  • Serve as main point of contact to field and answer security-related questions from portfolio company employees.
  • Support incident response efforts by documenting incidents and assisting in the coordination of response activities.
  • Help ensure that portfolio companies maintain compliance with relevant industry regulations and standards by supporting policy implementation and monitoring activities.
  • Manage and organize meetings, track action items, and maintain relevant documentation to support the security team's efforts.
  • Oversee onboarding of new portfolio companies to PSG security requirements.
  • Report on overall posture and maturity of portfolio companies' security programs.
  • Assist with internal security program as required.
Ideal Experience and Competencies
  • Bachelor's degree required; concentration in business administration, computer science, information technology, cybersecurity or other relevant field preferred
  • 0-2 years of experience in coordination, project management or other professional services
  • Interest in learning about cybersecurity, security assessment, and risk management and growth equity
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills; excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Team player mentality
