The Ultra Sales & Marketing function is responsible for growth of both the business development opportunity pipeline and the closure of sales by negotiating the terms and conditions in contracts. Through good business development practices and strong, senior-level customer interaction this function will deliver the defined business opportunities and develop a marketing strategy that demonstrates achievable levels of profitable growth in line with the overall business plan. This function is instrumental in setting the strategy for the business for all aspects of marketing and sales. Nationality Requirements Candidates must be eligible to obtain the relevant security clearance required for the role, due to the nature of the programmes we deliver for our customers. Job Description Key Responsibilities:
  • Contract administration and management of varying contract types (mainly, FFP & CPFF) for the business unit's commercial, foreign and U.S. government customers
  • Review, revise and negotiate terms and conditions for proposals and orders prior to submission and acceptance
  • Draft contract documentation and various agreement types (NDAs, MOUs, Collaboration, Teaming Agreements, etc.)
  • Advise Program Managers on all contractual aspects and provide assistance to ensure cost effective and timely delivery of program deliverables
  • Ensure contractual compliance in accordance with company policies and procedures, legal requirements, FAR/DFARS regulations and customer specifications
  • Support sales/marketing, technical and program teams on proposal activities as required
  • Mentor/coach junior team members on contract administration procedures and negotiation techniques
  • Compliance with import/export regulations (EAR/ITAR) including applying for licenses and drafting international shipping documentation
  • Support business unit audit activities
  • Liaise with customers at all levels in relation to existing and new business, e.g. terms & conditions, contracts, proposals, invoicing.
  • Engage Corporate Legal Counsel and Management on contractual issues and terms & conditions negotiations to mitigate company risk
  • Sales order processing and maintenance in ERP system
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Required Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance or similar field from an accredited institution with 7-8 years of experience in lifecycle contracts administration and management; 5+ years directly related to defense (DoD) contracting and 2+ years managing others.
  • Mentoring and coaching of junior team members
  • Knowledge of FAR and DFARS requirements
  • Trade Compliance experience (e.g. Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR))
  • Ability to negotiate complex contractual terms and conditions
  • Good organizational and communication (both verbal and written) skills
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask
  • Ability to work independently and resolve problems expeditiously
  • Knowledge of MS Office products; Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
