Job Summary: This is an exciting role at an innovative, high-growth defense technology company. The ideal candidate for the position is someone who thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced environment and has experience managing Department of Defense and commercial contracts from the proposal, through negotiation and administration, to close-out. In this role, you will work closely with a talented compliance team, reporting to the Director of Contracts and part of the Legal team. Responsibilities:
- Negotiate NDAs on behalf of the company and ensure compliance with these agreements.
- Ensure that intellectual property is protected with the inclusion of correct terms in government and prime contractor contracts, advise on correct data rights markings in accordance with the contracts, necessary invention disclosures, and patent filing
- schedule to maintain maximum patent rights.
- Maintain company agreement repository and dashboard.
- Enter contracts and sales orders into company MRP
- Manage contract lifecycle from proposal, through flow down and execution, to invoice and closeout.
- Monitor contract performance for compliance with applicable laws, delivery schedules, payment provisions, funding increases, time extensions, government property transfers and other contractual requirements
- Assist in negotiating agreements and terms and conditions for company contracts, to include customers, suppliers, consultants, and service providers.
- Establish and maintain contracting policies and procedures as required.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business or related field.
- 5+ years experience in aerospace and defense company in a contracts or subcontracts role
- Working knowledge of FAR and DFARS, FAR 15 and FAR 12 contracting, FFP, and Cost reimbursable contracts
- Basic familiarity with commercial terms and conditions
- Establish and maintain contracting policies and procedures as required
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Collaborative; capable of working across all levels of the organization
- Organized; comfortable working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
- NCMA or WCCA certification is a plus
- Experience with ERP and/or CLM tools is a plus

Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. For the state of California only, the range of starting pay for this role is: $120,600-$144,800 USD
