Job Description

Insight Global is seeking an Automation Controls Integrator to join our client's industrial engineering team. This individual will be responsible for designing control systems for assembly lines in industrial and manufacturing facilities. The role involves assisting with the assessment, development, installation, implementation, commissioning, monitoring, and maintenance of custom control systems. Responsibilities include designing and programming industrial control systems, including Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Remote Terminal Units (RTUs), remote Input/Output (I/O) systems, and Human-Machine Interface (HMI) components. Additionally, the role involves developing automation/control logic, PLC programs, HMI graphics, electrical schematics, Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and wiring diagrams. Projects are handled cradle-to-grave and include meetings with clients all the way through the construction phase. This individual will be joining a team of five who work on a hybrid-based schedule. During installation phases, work may require being onsite almost or completely full-time for plant installation support. Work is about 60-70% design and 30-40% service and installation support. The customers are in the fields of clay and minerals, pulp and paper, fertilizer, petrochemicals, mining, and food production.
