Opening: Maintenance Controls Engineer

Location: Toledo, OH

Shifts: 2nd or 3rd (Must be willing to work 20+ hours of OT per week, at 1.5x)

Compensation: $45-$55/hr

Must Haves:

• 3-5+ years of experience as a Controls Engineer in Automotive manufacturing environment
• Must have experience working with skilled trades & UAW teams
• Allen Bradley OR Siemens programming and troubleshooting experience
• Experience working with HMIs
• Machine tooling background

Plusses:

• Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering
• Fanuc robot experience

Day to Day: Insight Global is looking for a Controls Engineer for a large automotive client in Toledo, OH. The main function of this Controls Engineer is to initiate control system design from written sequences of operation. They will be responsible for designing complex piping and wiring diagrams along with providing technical support across various control systems projects. Their primary responsibility is troubleshooting down equipment and supporting skilled trades to reduce meantime to repair. Every third weekend they will work Saturday and Sunday, and must expect to work up to 60 hours per week. This person need to be able to thrive in a very high-paced, fast environment. They are servicing existing equipment and will interact with up to 100 skilled trades during their shift.
