Job Purpose:
The Control Panel Technician is responsible for the wiring and final assembly of control panels,
including panel layout, part assembly, testing, and wiring.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
* Wire and assemble control panels quickly and accurately while following schematics and
meeting quality standards
* Operate hand and power tools necessary for wiring, assembly and related activities
* Maintain a clean and safe work environment
* Review work to ensure accuracy of wiring, assembly and build quality
* May require the operation of forklift
* Crate completed panels for shipment
* Infrequent travel may be required to make panel changes or to assist with system
commissioning

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
* Education in electrical field or the controls industry field (experience in related field may be
substituted for formal education)
* Good work ethic
* Computer skills and ability to read electrical drawings
* Technical aptitude
* Ability to work with tools
* Willingness to learn
Preferred Qualifications:
* Associates degree or certificate in electrical, controls or related technical program required
* Experience in a related field may be substituted for formal education if the experience is
specifically relevant to the position

Physical Abilities/Work Environment:
Includes but is not limited to the following:
* Stooping, standing, lifting, gripping & finger mobility
* Occasionally exerting up to 20-50 pounds of force
* Regular use of power drills and/or operate machine, and ability to inspect small parts
* Potential exposure to noise and hazards such as moving mechanical parts and electrical current
