Control Room Operator - Wilks : Job Details

Duties and Responsibilities

• Control spray fluidizer within proper parameters to provide uniform quality, size, and rate feeding the kiln feed surge bins.This includes particle size adjustment, nozzle/orifice configurations, temperature control, and equipment operation awareness.
• Control raw material batching system through computerized process control; Respond to various process concerns as necessary.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date production records for the batching and fluidization systems. Log and figure rates of all scrap streams and return to process materials.Maintain up-to-date production/Q.C. data log.
• Sample, test, and analyze batching material and fluidizer product.
• Clean slurry filters, nozzles, fluidizer walls, etc., to maintain product quality, production rate, and generally clean work areas.
• Provide guidance to the QC and Maintenance departments with regard to troubleshooting equipment and processes.
• Assist with plant clean-up, bagging, and shipping of product as necessary when time permits.
• Must be able to work a 12 hour rotating shift including nights and weekends.
• Performs other related duties and/or special projects as required.

QualificationsThe successful candidate must have the ability to:

• High school diploma or GED
• 2+ years of relative experience operating HMI systems
• Minimum 3 years' experience in an industrial plant setting
• Make strong, logical decisions during stressful periods of operation
• Demonstrate leadership skills
• Effectively communicate with others
• Work in a fast-paced environment adapting to change quickly
• Competency in general computer navigation
• Understand complex systems and analyze data for cause & effect
