Job Type Full-timeDescriptionMoboTrex is seeking an experienced and dynamic Controller to join our fast-growing, private equity-owned manufacturing company. As the Controller, you will play a critical role in overseeing the financial operations of the business, with a strong emphasis on financial planning & analysis (FP&A), month-end close processes, and financial reporting. This role will also be deeply involved in supporting the integration of newly acquired entities and driving change management initiatives to ensure operational excellence during a period of rapid growth and transformation.Key Responsibilities:
  • Month-End Close and Financial Reporting:
    • Lead and oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
    • Prepare and present consolidated financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
    • Manage and improve financial reporting systems and processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory and accounting standards.
  • Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A):
    • Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning processes in collaboration with business unit leaders.
    • Analyze financial results, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to senior management.
    • Develop and implement financial models to support decision-making and strategic planning.
    • Monitor KPIs and business performance metrics, recommending actions to drive profitability and operational improvements.
  • Acquisition Integration:
    • Lead financial integration of newly acquired companies, ensuring seamless transitions in systems, processes, and financial reporting.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (operations, IT, HR) to harmonize processes and financial controls across newly acquired entities.
    • Implement consistent financial policies, procedures, and internal controls across the organization.
  • Change Management:
    • Act as a key driver of change, supporting the transformation of financial processes, organizational structures, and systems.
    • Ensure the finance team adapts to the evolving needs of a scaling business, introducing best practices and efficiencies.
    • Support training and development initiatives for the finance team and newly acquired company personnel to align with corporate standards.
  • Team Leadership and Development:
    • Manage and mentor the accounting and finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
    • Build and scale the finance organization as the company grows, including hiring, training, and developing new team members
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA highly preferred).
  • 8+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience, with at least 3+ years in a Controller or senior financial leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  • Experience in manufacturing environments and familiarity with cost accounting.
  • Private equity experience and a proven track record of working with portfolio companies is a plus.
  • Demonstrated success in managing the financial integration of acquisitions.
  • Exceptional skills in financial planning, analysis, and modeling.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across the organization.
  • Comfortable with change management and driving process improvements in a dynamic, high-growth environment.
