This multifaceted position requires a strategic blend of skills and experience to ensure meticulous governance and control of capex projects, as well as the enhancement of various business aspects, including commercial, supply chain, procurement, manufacturing, and support functions to improve competitiveness. What You'll Do Large-Scale Capex Governance and Controls, support corporate wide competitive program in the region Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute strategies that align with both the organization's long-term goals and immediate operational requirements.
  • Manage a diverse project portfolio, ensuring adherence to budgets, timelines, and achieving a high return on investment.
  • Establish and maintain governance structures and control mechanisms to manage risk, ensure compliance, and enforce organizational standards.
  • Identify inefficiencies and leading initiatives to streamline operations, enhance productivity, and reduce costs within various business domains.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and drive organizational transformation in alignment with corporate objectives.
  • Work effectively with various departments and teams, such as Commercial, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Purchasing and other support functions to foster a cohesive approach to business improvements.
  • Deploy strong analytical skills to assess complex data, provide insights, and make informed decisions that contribute to the company's competitive advantage.
  • Articulate vision, motivate teams, and ensure that all initiatives are understood and embraced by stakeholders.
  • Financial Acumen: In-depth understanding of financial metrics and the capability to relate them to business operations for informed decision-making and investment optimization.
  • Apply a forward-thinking mindset that embraces innovation, adapts to evolving market trends, and anticipates future business needs.
Americas & Area Business Unit Support Responsibilities:
  • Oversee financial management for the Americas, focusing on profit and loss and balance sheet, providing insights and control.
  • Partner with commercial leadership and business unit (BU) leaders in the Americas to offer financial support, specifically in sales and margin analysis.
  • Evaluate BU performance, pinpoint variance causes against budget, forecast, or previous year, and develop Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for finance and operations.
  • Enhance financial understanding within the Commercial, Supply Chain, and Operations/Manufacturing teams through training and support.
  • Utilize and specialize in financial software tools (BW/BI, BO, Qlik Sense, forecasting tools, etc.).
  • and engage in merger and acquisition (M&A) processes, including due diligence and integration.
  • Review business unit innovation portfolio and sales funnel as needed.
Manufacturing Sites Support Responsibilities:
  • Conduct financial analyses for various operational areas, including product cost analysis and supporting supply chain and commercial functions.
  • Assist with product arbitration/allocation in line with Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SI&OP) and Product Line Management (PLM) strategies.
  • Aid in creating the annual budget for US entities and facilitate ongoing budgeting and forecasting processes monthly.
  • Participate in investment analysis and oversee the success of minor capital projects (PxB) post-implementation under the guidance of Project Portfolio Management (PPM) or site management, while also managing business process controls and the implementation of RAI Symphony software.
Other Responsibilities
  • Assist with monthly and annual financial closing and budgeting processes.
  • Calculate and analyze costs of business activities, maintain SAP cost structures, and review production efficiencies and variances.
  • Support Operations with expense budgeting, forecasting, and analysis to develop control measures.
  • Prepare financial reports, maintain data integrity, and assist with financial concerns of management and staff.
  • Participate in audits, continuous improvement initiatives, and SAP integration projects.
What You'll Need
  • Bachelor's (required) or master's degree in finance or accountancy
  • Advance level of verbal and written in English.
  • Minimum of 10 years of working experience in finance-related activities.
  • Knowledge of SAP or other ERP-type product costing systems in a manufacturing environment is required.
  • Experience with management accounting and financial analysis, including economic evaluation for capex projects.
  • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
  • Experience with external audit activities and external auditor requirements.
  • A team player and a collaborator.
  • Experience with controls and governance of large-scale capex project portfolio planning and implementation
  • Experience with corporate wide initiative to improve overall competitiveness.
  • Experience with SAP deployment preparation and implementation.
  • ~25%, Regular travel to the manufacturing sites of Keokuk and Gurnee is required and to the other locations as needed.
