This role is pivotal in ensuring the financial stability, strategic planning, and compliance of our firm.Key Responsibilities:Strategic Financial Leadership:* Develop and implement comprehensive financial strategies* Provide strategic direction and advise the CEO and firm executives on financial matters* Manage relationships with shareholders, lenders, and other stakeholders* Oversee financial planning, analysis, and reportingFinancial Management:* Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements and reports* Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes* Maintain accounting records and internal controls* Manage the general ledger and ensure compliance with GAAP* Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes* Monitor financial performance and initiate corrective actions* Develop forecasts, report results, and analyze variancesCompliance and Risk Management:* Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements and tax filings* Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets* Mitigate key elements of the company's risk profile* Monitor reliable control systems related to finance and HR* Provide support with relationships of insurance vendors and ensure appropriate coverage* Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirementsTeam Leadership:* Supervise and mentor the corporate accounting and finance teams* Provide training and development opportunities for staff* Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environmentThe Ideal Candidate:The ideal candidate will provide strategic oversight with hands-on financial management to drive our growth and ensure our financial health. This role will oversee the overall financial strategy, internal accounting operations, and day-to-day financial management, playing a crucial role in guiding the firm's financial direction and supporting its growth.Requires:* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field* CPA or CMA certification preferred* Minimum of 10 years of progressive accounting experience* Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills* Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite* Strong leadership and team management skills* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills* Experience with General Ledger Accounting Systems required, Sage Intacct preferredWhat we Offer:* Competitive wage and benefits package that includes health/dental/vision insurance* 401k* Minimum of 16 days of paid time off (PTO) and 10 paid holidays* Summer Fridays* Flexible schedules* Hybrid work option available (eligibility required)EOE
