Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Controller to lead our client's financial operations and ensure the accuracy and integrity of our accounting processes. The Controller will be responsible for overseeing financial planning, reporting, compliance, and budgeting activities, playing a critical role in driving the financial health and strategic growth of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Management:

    • Oversee and manage all aspects of the company's accounting functions, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, general ledger, and financial reporting.
    • Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
    • Develop and implement internal financial policies and procedures to maintain strong financial controls.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting:

    • Prepare, analyze, and manage the annual budget, long-term forecasts, and financial strategy.
    • Provide insights and recommendations to the executive team based on financial data and trends.
  • Reporting:

    • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports to senior management and stakeholders.
    • Manage the audit process and coordinate with external auditors for annual audits.
  • Team Leadership:

    • Supervise and mentor the accounting team, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting.
    • Foster a collaborative and performance-driven culture within the finance department.
  • Strategic Support:

    • Partner with senior leadership to evaluate and improve financial performance, optimize processes, and drive profitability.
    • Manage cash flow and treasury functions, including investments, funding strategies, and risk management.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA certification preferred.

  • Experience:

    • Proven experience (7+ years) in accounting or finance, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
    • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial regulations.
  • Skills:

    • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
    • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong leadership and communication abilities.
    • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.

Salary: 135K-150K
