Our client is a family office. They seek a Family Office Controller to join their Los Angeles, CA office. Responsibilities
- Draft monthly financials and special reports, including analyses for multiple locations
- Review bank reconciliations and produce weekly cash-flash updates for over 30 accounts
- Carry out commercial real estate accounting including annual rent escalations
- Adhere to federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation
- Document asset purchases and sales from transaction reports and closing statements
- Protect assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures
- Assist CFO with risk management and philanthropic activity
- Manage the financial corporate accounting function including managing financial close
- Calculate budgets by establishing schedules and collecting and consolidating financial data
- Implement and maintain estate planning techniques and related documentation Requirements
- Bachelor's degree, MBA preferred
- 15+ years of accounting experience
- Family office experience required
- Self-starter and proactive demeanor
- Excellent communication skills
- CPA required
