Job Description
  • Oversee all accounting and financial operations, including job cost accounting, general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and financial reporting.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial statements in compliance with GAAP and industry regulations.
  • Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and improve financial processes.
  • Partner with project managers to track job costs, project budgets, WIP (Work-in-Progress) reporting, and profitability.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management efforts to support company growth.
  • Manage banking relationships, financial audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting.
  • Evaluate and enhance financial systems, reporting tools, and accounting software to drive efficiency.
  • Provide mentorship and leadership to the accounting team, fostering professional growth.
  • Oversee subcontractor compliance, including lien waivers, insurance certificates, and contract terms.

  • CPA certification required; MBA preferred.
  • 5+ years of accounting experience, with public accounting experience (Big 4 or regional firm preferred).
  • Prior experience in construction or project-based accounting is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, job costing, WIP accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls.
  • Proficiency in construction accounting software (e.g., Sage 300, Viewpoint, Procore, QuickBooks).
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems.
