Controls Technician

Position Overview:
As part of the talented controls team, you will be responsible for supporting automation, data and control processes for our manufacturing operations. You'll work with a team of managers, supervisors, technicians, planners and production employees on the plant floor, as well as manage assigned projects from inception to completion. Daily tasks can range from troubleshooting a machine or robot, writing a SOP's, implementing a preventative/predictive maintenance procedure, working with various software's or creating/troubleshooting a data collection process. You will be consistently learning, adapting and improving processes to support operations in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Functions:
* Supports manufacturing in troubleshooting automation and controls issues
* Participate on internal teams in order to facilitate the development, maintenance and continuous improvement of factory automation
* Influence and support the design and implementation of factory automation equipment
* Document/write maintenance SOP's to perform repair and diagnostic functions
* Support controls and software solutions for manufacturing work cells
* Support TPM efforts
Education and Experience Requirements
Required Qualifications:
* Associate degree in Electro-Mechanical or Automated Manufacturing Systems Technician or Equivalent (Or in progress)
* Competent in programming PLC's, specifically Allen Bradley
* Understanding of industrial network infrastructures, i.e. Ethernet
* Ability to read / understand controls prints and draw / modify prints using AutoCAD
* General knowledge of tooling and equipment associated with a manufacturing environment
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact in a team environment with other employees and groups
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications:
* 2 or more years of experience
* Exposure to technologies such as RFID, vision systems, and robots
Working Conditions:
* Mix between office and production floor, variance is driven by operational needs.
* Exposure to machine shop manufacturing setting (noises, moving vehicles/parts, minor coolant & oil mist, etc.)
* Occasional light to medium lifting up to 20lbs.
* Physical requirements include standing, sitting, typing, and stooping.
* Onsite position, Hours Mon-Fri 2pm - 11pm (subject to change)
