Ensures products are displayed in accordance with Company standards and all regulatory food safety practices. Performs various customer service duties and promotes sales building practices.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Maintains full stock conditions on display racks and shelves. Ensures dated product is stocked, rotated, or discarded properly if unsold.
- Ensures accurate checkout totals for customers by properly scanning and keying items. Maintains accurate money count in register at all times.
- Monitors customer and fuel pump safety by monitoring, reporting, and taking action regarding suspicious activities, illegal devices, emergencies, fires and fuel spills. Inspects fuel pumps, ensures proper seals are in place, and maintains hazard free conditions.
- Checks inventory on trucks, unloads products, and ensures accuracy of inventory, product ordering, and associated paperwork.
- Provides friendly and customer service-oriented attitude by greeting customers, answering questions, and assisting customers with fuel pumps and product location.
- Maintains clean, safe and sanitary working and shopping environment by adhering to Company safety procedures.
- Accountable for adhering to all local, state, and federal laws regarding sales of restricted items such as tobacco, alcohol, and cannabis-based products.
- Remains current on tender policies and procedures related to checks, credit, debit, coupons, EBT, WIC, AML, etc.
- Operates pallet jack to unload product from warehouse trucks and reloads trucks with return items.
- Promotes product sales through use of suggestive selling initiatives.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Basic knowledge and compliance of state laws regarding the sale of alcohol, tobacco, and lottery, as applicable.
- Ability to count and calculate for the purpose of cash handling and sales transactions.
- Ability to memorize and maintain thorough understanding of check, credit, debit, coupon, and traveler check tenders.
- Ability to effectively communicate (in written and verbal form) with customers and partners.
- Ability to work well with fellow partners and promote a team atmosphere.
- Ability to learn new technology systems, methods and processes.
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends and holidays.
- Must be attentive to potential hazards and remedy or place appropriate warning signs or devices around or near the hazard as soon as is reasonably possible.
- Must report any potential hazards that cannot be immediately remedied to a supervisor.
Education, Experience, and Qualifications - Minimum of 18 years of age required in TX, AR, OK. Minimum of 21 years of age required in LA.
- High school Diploma or GED required.
- TABC/LACT/AATC certification required where applicable.
- Fuel Operator C training required.
- Typically involves on-the-job training.
Physical Demands - Continuously required to use close vision, distance vision, depth perception or the ability to focus.

- Frequently required to push, pull, maneuver or lift objects up to 40 lbs.
