Join our company as we continue to expand the food services aspect within our convenience stores to include restaurant style food and dining. We are searching for a reliable Cook to join our team. The duties of a cook include preparing food according to the recipe and health and safety guidelines, maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen, preparing orders quickly and other job duties as necessary. The kitchen environment is high energy and fast paced. Your role will require you to prepare orders quickly while following health and safety guidelines.Job DutiesFollow receipts, including measuring, weighting and mixing ingredientsMaintain a clean and safe work area, including handling utensils, equipment and dishesHandle and store ingredients and foodMaintain food safety and sanitation standardsRotating stockUpdate temp logs for food, refrigeration and freezer.Communicate effectively with all levels of co-workers.Very organized and detail oriented.Excellent customer service skills.Knowledge of federal and state standards and requirements regarding food preparation and storage, sanitation, health, and record-keeping.Education and QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent is required.Must be at least 18 years of age.Must obtain/maintain alcohol license.Previous cooking experience a plusWork RequirementsStand for long periods of timeCreative and skilled in food preparationStrong time management skills.Physically capable of fulfilling all requirements, including lifting and carrying up to 80 pounds.Solid and consistent work history.Excellent personal and professional references.
