Adair County Health System is looking for a Cook to work in our dietary department. Full-time, 36-hour work week. This shift works 10a - 6:30p and every 4th weekend. This is a great opportunity to use your current skills and gain some new ones alongside our caring and dedicated team. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Responsible for maintaining high standards of quality food production and portion control, using standard recipes.
• May requisition food and supplies in the absence of manager or assistant manager.
• Is responsible for food service department when manager and assistant are absent.
• Prepares and serves breakfast, noon meal and A.M. and P.M. snacks.
• Makes and records any necessary menu substitutions.
• Washes pots and pans and any other dishes as needed.
• Cleans own work area.
• Makes out milk and bread order
• Checks equipment and cooking are often to make sure they maintain safety and sanitation requirements.
• Reports repair and maintenance needs to the manager.
• Documents temperatures of coolers, freezers, foods, salad bar items
• Prepares, portions all items of meals including salads, desserts, beverages, breads
• Assists with cater events as deemed necessary
• Maintains and cleans equipment and work areas at all times
• Responsible to deliver some meals. Valid driver license and provide own transportation. Obey all laws
