DescriptionEssential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepares and serves meals according to set menu and requirements.
- Maintains the highest level sanitary and safety standards in the kitchen while on duty.
- Follows food preparation lists as given by the Lead Kitchen Team Member.
- Supervises residents (if any) assigned to kitchen detail.
- Performs other duties as needed to assist in the operations of the food service area as assigned by the Facility Director or Lead Kitchen Team Member.
RequirementsEducation and/or Experience ServSafe certified preferred, or willing to achieve. One year of experience in the preparation of food for large groups of individuals. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered. Technical Skills To perform this job successfully, the employee should be able to successfully operate a variety of applicable hand-held tools and equipment. Must have the ability to learn proper use of other tools and equipment as required by assigned tasks. Physical Demands To perform this job successfully, the employee is frequently required to travel to various Firetree properties to perform maintenance work. Daily movements include sitting; standing; reaching and grasping; operating handheld tools and other machinery; moving about the properties; and attending onsite meetings and offsite meetings. The employee must be able to exchange information in person, in writing, and via telephone. The employee must occasionally transport up to 50 pounds.
