Job DescriptionABOUT THE JOBOlivia Hospital & Clinic is looking for a Dietary Cook to serve our Dietary department! This position will work approximately 48 hours per pay with every other weekend rotation. The Dietary Cook prepares and cooks meals for hospital employees and patients in accordance with Physician diet orders. This position has a minimum age requirement of 18.Responsibilities:
  • Determines types and quantities of meats, vegetables and soups to be prepared by reviewing planned menus.
  • Serves the correct portion sizes for all food items.
  • Ensure meals are prepared and ready by anticipated times.
  • Bakes, prepares, or assigns the preparation of congregate snacks.
  • Measures and mixes ingredients according to approved recipes.
  • Improves flavor and texture of food by adding ingredients or reasonings.
  • Makes soups, sauces, stews, casseroles, and desserts meeting established dietary guidelines.
  • Maintains kitchen in a clean, neat and organized manner.
  • Observes infection control, sanitation, and safety standards at all times.
ABOUT YOU
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous experience in food preparation preferred
  • Excellent customer services and teamwork skills.
