Every day on the job is a specialized training program that helps you excel and become a leader. Learn and grow and take the opportunity to refine your skills through our in-house training programs. Days and shifts vary; includes weekend availability$17.00+/hour depending on experienceWhat you will doThe Cook performs a wide variety of tasks and processes to prepare and cook food for patients, employees, and visitors, following standard practices and procedures while complying with regulatory requirements. Responsibilities include following standard recipes, filling out production sheets and other documentation to ensure nutritious, high-quality, cost-effective meals, and handling food and equipment in accordance with sanitation and safety practices.
  • Prepares orders for patients, staff, visitors, and catering using standardized recipes and service and/or plating guidelines.
  • Takes note of variances in recipes and plating guidelines and communicates issues to the Executive Chef.
  • Assists customers with orders by answering menu and recipe-related questions.
  • Build rapport with guests.
  • Follows regulations and established standards applicable to personal hygiene and food preparation, handling, and disposal.
  • Performs related duties as required.
Who you are
  • One year of directly related work experience in the fast-food, restaurant, hospitality, or other culinary environment, preferred.
  • Knowledge of HACCP food handling standards and guidelines, and industry standards relating to personal hygiene in a culinary environment.
  • Knowledge of the basic activities/techniques employed in the preparation of short-order foods.
  • State Food Handlers Card/ServSafe® Certification
  • Successful candidates must meet eligibility criteria, including the ability to undergo and successfully complete a criminal background check and drug screen in accordance with applicable State laws and regulations.
  • Ability to provide documents for work authorization. We utilize E-Verify, an online system that allows us to confirm the eligibility of our employees to work in the United States.
  • High School Diploma/GED.
