Cook - Ravenna Assisted Living : Job Details

Join our team as a Cook at Ravenna Assisted Living and be a part of creating a positive dining experience for our 45 elderly residents. We are looking for a dedicated individual with a passion for cooking and providing nutritious meals. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two (2) years of experience as a cook, with experience in a healthcare or long-term care setting being a plus. We are willing to provide training for the right candidate who is hardworking and eager to learn. Additional responsibilities for this role include: Collaborate with the dietary team to plan and prepare meals that meet the nutritional needs of our residents Create and serve snacks and beverages throughout the day to ensure residents are well-nourished Assist in organizing and executing special events, as well as themed meals to enhance the dining experience Conduct regular menu reviews to ensure accurate and timely preparation of meals Ensure the kitchen, food storage, and preparation areas are kept clean, safe, and sanitary at all times In addition to the responsibilities listed above, the ideal candidate for this role should possess strong communication skills, be able to work well in a team, and have a keen eye for detail. They should also have a good understanding of food safety practices and be able to adapt to the dietary needs of individual residents.
