ResponsibilitiesDining Services Team Member - Full-time CookTurning Point Care Center has an opening for a FT Cook on our Dining Services Team.Our cooks are responsible for:* Daily preparation and presentation of all Turning Point meals.* Reviewing menus and dietary orders daily to ensure patients receive proper diets as ordered by Physicians and/or Dietitian.* Assists supervisor in the handling and ordering of food inventory and supplies.* Preparing meals in accordance with Turning Point's approved menus, policies, and procedures.* Adhering to state and federal food service guidelines.* Working as a member of the Dining Services Team to ensure a clean, safe, and aesthetically pleasing dining environment for both patients and staff.Apply online at does a typical day look like for a Turning Point cook?Our cooks work ten hour shifts. When cooks arrive at work, they review the day's established menu and prepare the work area, cook the meals in large batches, and serve approximately 120 meals per mealtime. As part of our food and work safety practices, our cooks also monitor temperatures of the cooler, freezer, and dishwashers, record results, report any deviations from proper temperatures, and complete routine cleaning tasks including mopping and dishwashing.
