Job Summary:As a Cook room associate at Carolina Copacking, LLC, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of food products in a large-scale manufacturing setting. Your primary duty will be to ensure that all food products are cooked to perfection and meet our company's high quality standards. This is a full-time position at our facility located in Henderson, North Carolina. It is an individual contributor role working as part of a team of skilled professionals. The compensation for this position is $17 per hour, paid weekly.Compensation & Benefits:In addition to the competitive rate range of $17-$20 per hour, we also offer a comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees. This includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, 401(k) retirement savings plan with company match, Dream Day and opportunities for career growth and development.Responsibilities:- Prepare and cook a variety of food products according to established recipes and quality standards.- Operate and maintain cooking equipment, ensuring proper functioning and cleanliness.- Monitor and record cooking temperatures and times to ensure food safety and quality.- Label and store cooked food products in accordance with company procedures.- Follow all food safety guidelines and maintain a clean and sanitary work environment.- Report any equipment malfunctions or quality issues to the supervisor.- Assist with inventory and stock management in the cook room.- Adhere to production schedules and meet all deadlines.- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve company goals and objectives.- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.Requirements:- Three years cook and or food service experience- High school diploma or equivalent.- Previous experience in a food production or similar setting is preferred.- Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines.- Able to read and follow recipes accurately.- Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds.- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.- Flexibility to work weekends and overtime as needed.- Must pass a background check and drug screen.EEOC Statement:Carolina Copacking, LLC is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or any other legally protected status.
