COOK ROOM TEAM MEMBER-Coolab Foods LLC This team member is primarily responsible in production to operate Cook Room equipment that manufactures food products. This will include the set up and breakdown of the equipment as necessary. They will be responsible for their own safety as well as the safety of their team members. They are to follow instructions from the Plant Manager, Supervisor, or other designee in making up the food products set to meet the customer's specifications. They will ensure the materials and supplies are in correct quantities as well as correct ingredients. If at any time there is a food safety concern, they will communicate this immediately to their supervisor, quality supervisor or manager and stop the process. Work independently on a shift as determined by your manager. This position may be required to work on Saturdays or other shifts as determined by the manufacturing scheduling demand.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsibilities include the following and other duties may be assigned.
- Pasteurize products to the Pasteurized Milk Ordinance (PMO) requirements by the US Department of Health and Food and Drug Administration.
- Keep records according to the PMO requirement.
- Be knowledgeable to respond to recording issues.
- Responsible for sanitation and Operating food processing equipment such as: vat pasteurizer, liquefier, heat exchanger, homogenizer, and fillers, as well as batching or blending of ingredients from recipes or work order formulas.
- Carry out work order standard operating procedures and bill of material notes.
- Set up and or changeover of equipment.
- Complete work orders by calculating ingredient weights and adjustments.
- Perform general labor duties related to product processing such as lifting, loading, and packaging.
- Document steps and procedures on actual production tracking form.
- Whatever other miscellaneous steps as asked by your supervisor or manager.
- Any duties assigned by your supervisor or manager.
FOOD SAFETY: In the event of a food safety situation occurred the team member has the right to stop the process and must contact the quality supervisor or manager as well as the production supervisor immediately.

EDUCATION AND / OR EXPERIENCE: - In house training.
- High Scholl or GED required.
- Two (2) years demonstrated mixing/blending/batch making and general processing equipment experience. Preferably with a food company.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills.
- Basic mechanical skills
- Read and write in English
LANGUAGE, COMPUTER, MATHEMATICAL AND REASONING ABILITY: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence, if required. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
