We embrace individual uniqueness, foster a culture of inclusive excellence, and engage all individuals to help them thrive.Under the supervision of the Assistant Director for Facility Operations, the Coordinator for Facility Operations will serve on a team responsible for the daily operation and management of the Mary Beaver White Building and the new state-of-the-art eSports facility.Specific responsibilities include:Oversee the daily operations of the White Building and eSports facility.Hire, train, schedule, supervise, and evaluate student employees; including supervisors and attendants.Ensure proper compliance with risk management processes and protocols for facility operations.Manage payroll for facility operations student staff.Assist with event set-up and management as needed for various facility reservations.Provide occasional support for other facilities, projects, and events in Campus Recreation.Position Qualifications:A bachelor's degree or higher, plus three years of facility operation experience is required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.A master's degree in recreation, sports management, higher education, or a related field is preferred.Demonstrated experience in student development is required.Knowledge of safety and risk management practices as they relate to facility operations is required.A working knowledge of software systems such as Innosoft Fusion, WhenToWork, GGLeap, or similar, is preferred.Job Requirements:Independent work on assignments, while reviewing progress and updating the Assistant Director as appropriate.Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities to meet deadlines.Attention to detail and the ability to provide and receive feedback.Willingness to lead students and work in a team-based environment.Eagerness to support and engage with all departmental and Student Affairs initiatives.Ability to take initiative and have the flexibility to adapt to shifting workload demands.Ability to foster a positive climate among a diverse group of staff, student employees, and participants.This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties.
