ATTENDANCE REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION ARE AS FOLLOWS:
Non rotating 40 hour work week, Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. Must be available to work additional hours as needed.
Responsibilities
The Senior Management Assistant oversees all Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), Emergency Solution Grant (ESG), and HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME) Programs expenditures which include the review, reconciling and approval of all payments.
* Run activity reports and update monthly, quarterly, and yearly expenditure reports to verify that all expenditures have been appropriately documented. Produce and compile financial reports for department administration. Maintain sub-ledgers for each project which includes balances, transfers, and change orders, encumbered and unencumbered balances. Keep abreast of HUD's spending ratio.
* Overall program management reporting of the CDBG, ESG and HOME Programs. Provides monthly and quarterly reports to HUD and Administrative staff, monthly/quarterly performance measures reporting, as well as assist in the completion of the following federal reports: Semi-Annual Labor Standards Enforcement Report (HUD-4710), Annual Contractor/Sub-Contractor Activity Report (HUD-2516), and assist in the development of the Consolidated Annual Performance Evaluation Report (CAPER).
* Assists in the monitoring of program compliance for the administered federal programs and the overall management and monitoring of the Integrated Disbursement Information System (IDIS). Provides, enters, and maintains information related to the CDBG, ESG, and HOME programs in IDIS and OneRoof and is able to develop and prepare reports, queries as requested using reporting tools provided by the application.
* Assists with financial functions and processing as associated with program grants and loans within the Housing Division of the Department.
* Provides excellent customer services to internal and external customers.
* May be asked to perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree
* Two (2) years of related experience
* A combination of education and pertinent experience may be considered
* A valid driver's license is required
* Successful out of state candidates must be able to obtain a valid Texas driver's license within 90 days of hire.
