As a result, Westminster continues to be recognized for its excellence in higher education as one of the best small liberal arts colleges in the Midwest.The Coordinator of Global Education Services is responsible for the management of International Student Services, including serving as the Primary Designated School Official (PDSO), and of Westminster's Off-Campus Programs that include Westminster's Study Abroad program, summer travel courses, and exchange programs. As a member of the Student Success Team, this person will coordinate with staff from the other services at the Student Success Center to ensure the unit operates smoothly and serves the students well. This position works closely with representatives of Enrollment Services to ensure that international applicants receive immigration-related information, such as F-1 visa requirements, and support in a timely manner.RequirementsEssential Functions: International Student Services
- Serves as PDSO and completes all the regular tasks associated with this role (for example, SEVIS record maintenance, issuing I-20s, reporting that ensures that the College and international students remain in compliance with immigration regulations etc.)
- Prepare letters and documentation for students regarding enrollment, travel, graduation, and employment
- Coordinate with Enrollment Services regarding incoming international student document preparation
- Prepare and send immigration documents to new international students
- Manage and oversee the Curricular Practical Training and Optional Practical Training programs
- Communicate with internal stakeholders on data questions, create procedure manuals, work with advising staff and generating documents for newly admitted students (I-20s, DS-2019s)
- Teach the International Student seminar for first-year international students
Study Abroad
- Oversee entire student application and enrollment management process
- Create and maintain web- based orientation information
- Create and maintain program information in varying formats
- Become a regional expert on a range of study-abroad opportunities
- Promote study abroad by attending Study Abroad and Global Partnerships and Programs functions on campus
- Meet with other Westminster departments, present study abroad options relative to curricular design and geographic location, and conduct information sessions
- Assist with the students, faculty, and staff with faculty led courses
- Oversee study abroad scholarships
Job Requirements: Education: A Master's degree preferred. Bachelor's degree is required. Experience: The ability to become a Designated School Official (DSO) and use the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) is required. The U.S. Department of Homeland Security requires that DSOs have U.S. citizenship or permanent residence. Prior experience with F-1 immigration regulations is preferred. Prior experience with international programs administration, overseas study and travel preferred. Skills:
- The ability to adapt to new technology and the willingness to receive training on SEVIS and related immigration documentation.

- Excellent attention to detail as well as strong written and oral communication skills.
