Job Summary and QualificationsThe Safety Coordinator is responsible for all departmental functions in support of the hospital mission, vision, and facility goals. The Safety Coordinator will assist in identifying the cost-effective systems needed to support the business of the department considering business trends, resource availability and changes in customers. This position establishes effective working relationships with all constituencies including patients, physicians, employees, volunteers, and vendors. The Safety Coordinator identifies and remedies through continuous customer satisfaction data and employee involvement. The Safety Coordinator/Emergency Preparedness works with Senior Management in meeting Facility goals. They will also assist the Director of Facilities Management with tasks and activities related to the facilitys safety, security, hazardous materials, emergency preparedness, fire safety, equipment, and utilities programs. The Safety Coordinator will also serve as the emergency coordinator for the facility. Activities/functions include managing/analyzing data, compiling reports, conducting facility investigations, performing pertinent clinical reviews and analyses, assisting with pertinent education activities, facilitating JCAHO survey activities, and participating on committees, teams, and task forces. The Safety Coordinator will also manage the hospital disaster program to assure safety during a disaster and proper level of support to the hospital and community during a disaster and assures compliance with regulatory requirements and assures good disaster practices through policy development and staff education.What qualifications you will need:Committed to the care and improvement of human life, Medical City Healthcare aims to deliver excellence - providing the highest quality, cost-effective healthcare in the communities it serves.
