Job DescriptionTITLECoordinator, Student Union OperationsJOB SUMMARYThe position assists with the daily operations of the Student Union (Hubbard Hall and Brackenridge), including building reservations, set-ups, and the scheduling of student employees. Initiates work orders and reports maintenance problems to Facilities. Coordinates with the Art Department for the display of student art in the student union gallery. Work is performed under general supervision with evaluation based on results obtained and performance is based on completion of assignments and results obtained. The performance evaluation is conducted through the performance evaluation system and in accordance with University Policies and Procedures.ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPSReports to: Associate Director, Conference ServicesSupervises:Student Assistants and Information Booth AttendantsESSENTIAL DUTIES -May include, but not limited to the following:
- Oversees and managed daily room set-ups.
Coordinates and collaborates with the Associate Director on Hubbard Hall scheduling through EMS. Trains, supervises and schedules student assistants for daytime, evening and weekend student employment. Assists in updating building policies and procedures. Assists with the scheduling of Hubbard Hall and Brackenridge through EMS. Initiates work orders and reports maintenance problems to Facilities. Coordinates with the Art Department for the display of student art in the student union gallery. Serves on division and university wide committees as needed. Performs general office duties such as phone, copies and filing. Makes deposits as needed. Assists business manager with IDT's as needed. ADDITIONAL DUTIES

EDUCATIONBachelor's degree required in job related field of study. Master's degree preferred.EXPERIENCETwo years of progressively responsible experience in the areas of facility administration, student development or a closely related area including operations, reservations, scheduling, and supervision preferred. Additional job related experience may substitute for required degree on a year for year basis.REQUIREMENTRegular and reliable attendance at the University during regular scheduled days and work hours is an essential function of this position.
