POSITION SUMMARY: This position is responsible for the safe receipt, storage, retrieval and on time shipping of materials to suppliers and customers while utilizing the SAP system for tracking. Maintaining accurate and timely data in SAP. Directs the tactical day to day activities of employees in the Receiving & Shipping Depts. Work within EHS, ISO and Corporate guidelines. Maintains cleanliness of facility and stock. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists Production Manager in planning and executing daily workloads resulting in on time receipt and shipment of materials
- Good verbal communication skills allowing for accurate and timely communication between warehouse employees, customer service, purchasing, quality and other departments.
- Enter data into SAP system accurately and timely
- Interface with common carriers (UPS, FedEX etc.)
- Supports and leads by example operating the department in compliance with EHS, ISO, CI and Corporate guidelines.
- Assures customer satisfaction by supporting the development and improvement of systems that focus on order accuracy, product quality at time of loading, and truck turnaround time.
- Supports and improves service, cost and quality of warehousing, receiving, shipping, inventory control of finished goods and raw materials through leadership of high performance work teams.
- Works with the distribution team to ensure the department's performance meets or exceeds company standards and customer expectations.
- Prioritizes workloads to ensure customer' orders are shipped in a timely manner.
- Ensures alignment of goals in processes and procedures to achieve overall objectives and consistent communications.
- Organizes and verifies required paperwork for shipments.
- Partners with other departments to ensure operational excellence.
- Supports staffing plan based on forecast/trends to maximize service levels and control costs.
- On time and accurate shipment of materials to customers and outside suppliers
- Safe receipt, storage and retrieval of items
- Ensures equipment used is inspected and maintained meeting all safety requirements.
- Understand the DWK Quality Policy and relevant Quality Objectives.
- Recognize their contribution to the effectiveness of the QMS, including the benefits of improved performance.
- Comprehend the impact or effect of not conforming with the QMS.
- Observe all safety precautions, rules, and regulations. Maintains work area in a clean and safe manner.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
- Two (2) years' experience in fast-paced, high volume warehouse
- Familiar with warehouse operations, storing and retrieving stock, and associated paperwork
- Minimum of one year experience utilizing SAP
WORK ENVIRONMENT / CONDITIONS / PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Work will take place in a manufacturing environment. Must have the ability to sit, stand or walk for extended periods of time. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. Lift up to 40 pounds. Employee may be required to work weekends, holidays and be on-call on occasion as customer and production demands dictate. The employee may encounter controlled air conditions with frequent air changes, environmental exposure. Travel/international travel occasionally.
