THE BIM TEAM
Our Building Information Modeling (BIM) team maximizes pre-construction efforts by visually defining a project prior to construction so that conflicts are identified early, and adjustments are made with minimal impact. From field sketches to BIM, installation drawings and as-builts, we get the job done right and provide the highest-level of BIM documentation each project needs.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Corporate BIM Manager will be responsible for overseeing the company's BIM strategy and execution across all projects. This includes working closely with both internal teams and external partners, including preferred BIM and VDC consultants, to ensure successful project delivery through the integration of advanced construction technology. The Corporate BIM Manager will be instrumental in creating well-defined, project-specific BIM strategies, fostering collaboration between preconstruction, prefabrication, modular, field management teams, project management teams, engineering and other stakeholders, and ensuring that technology is leveraged to maximize efficiency, accuracy, and project success.
Scope: Participates with other senior managers to establish strategic plans and objectives. Makes final decisions on administrative or operational matters and ensures operations effective achievement of objectives.
Complexity: Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of the company. Participates in corporate development of methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for projects, programs, and people. Ensures budgets and schedules meet corporate requirements.
Discretion: Erroneous decisions will have a serious impact on the overall success of functional, division, or company operations.
Interaction: Regularly interacts with executives and/or major customers. Interactions frequently involve special skills, such as negotiating with customers or management or attempting to influence senior level leaders regarding matters of significance to the organization.
Supervision: Directs and controls the activities of a broad functional area through several department managers within the company. Has overall control of planning, staffing, budgeting, managing expense priorities, and recommending and implementing changes to methods.
ABOUT YOU
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Experience: 10+ years of experience in the construction industry, preferably with an electrical contractor, with at least 5 years in a senior BIM/VDC leadership role.
