Job Description :

One of the leading, acclaimed, Michelin-starred independent restaurant groups in the U.S. is seeking a Corporate Chef! Looking for a Chef with a strong foundation of Michelin training to helm expansion plans, support new openings, and execute high level event programming. Candidates should have great communication skills, high emotional intelligence and the ability to articulate with diverse groups.

The role requires extensive travel and can be based in San Francisco or Los Angeles. Rare opportunity to be a prominent figure in a growing small Michelin starred group!

Corporate Chef Responsibilities:

  • Continually innovating and designing new menu items, staying on top of market trends while also keeping a fresh eye on things that are not on the market
  • Collaborate with leadership on new concept openings and events
  • Lead the culinary planning and execution of high-profile events
  • Communicate effectively with leadership, clientele, and all team members
  • Post-opening, provide ongoing quality control, mentorship and leadership to chef team ensuring new concepts are meeting the standards of this esteemed group
  • Travel as needed for new openings, and events
  • Support the team on menu design, sourcing, culinary training, along with continual refinement as needed
  • Budget planning, forecast, and overall P&L guidance for new concepts
  • Lead any food safety & sanitation efforts for new projects

Corporate Chef Preferred Requirements:

  • Chef-driven background in well recognized restaurants and 4+ years experience in Michelin starred or James Beard award winning restaurants
  • 4+ years as an Executive Chef leading a highly respected kitchen or 4+ years in a multiunit Chef role such as a regional chef, culinary director or corporate chef
  • Strong French technique and fine dining experience
  • Ability to plan and execute large and small events, with exquisite attention to detail
  • Past opening experience
  • Any exposure to partnerships and/or licensees is a plus
  • High emotional intelligence, verbal and written communications skills, problem solving and presentation
  • Proven organizational skills, leadership and teaching skills

Compensation / Benefits:

  • Base salary in the $120-$160k range
