The Corporate Compliance Specialist will report to our CFO. This position will manage both corporate administration which includes preparing LLC resolutions, maintaining contractor licenses, managing bonds, and managing trademarks. In addition, this role will support the Finance team with tax related tasks. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Corporate Administration:
- Primary contact for CSC (resident agent in all states):
- Receive all legal notice
- Manage information for Annual Report Filings
- Manage relationship with CSC
- Prepare LLC resolutions for Company Secretary review.
- Maintain Contractors' Licenses where needed.
- Manage records for Federal Heath Operating Co, Inc.
- Manage trademarks with FHH attorney.
- Manage the securing of all bonds for the company.
Sales Tax Support:
- Provide electronic data for sales activity to Ryan LLC (tax outsource firm) to prepare the monthly filings to all states.
- Provide assistance to AMS and our customers with their sales and use tax questions and inquiries.
- Assist the CFO on sales tax audits by preparing information and responding to document requests as needed.
Other Tax Support:
- Prepare property tax returns for Company locations accurately and on a timely basis.
- Maintain fixed asset schedules.
- Assist CFO with gathering information needed for the outsourced Tax Firm to prepare the income tax filing.
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED: - Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax compliance or related field.
- Strong understanding of local, state, and federal tax laws.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High level of integrity and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in tax preparation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with tax research tools and databases.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
EDUCATION REQUIRED: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
