About The Position

This is a unique opportunity to join a high growth, dynamic company with a similarly dynamic and growing legal department. More specifically, you will report directly to SPG's Chief Legal Officer supporting SPG and its 25+ diverse divisions and SPG's aggressive growth strategy, including:

• Bachelors and Law Degrees.
• 3-5+ years of progressive experience as an attorney at a law firm and/or in-house setting.
• Working knowledge of typical contractual terms (as they may relate to papering transactions).
• Ability to think critically, commercially, strategically and practically.
• Experience working independently and as part of large, cross-functional teams.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and to complete assigned projects by prescribed deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to adopt a flexible time schedule and work style to meet the needs of a fast growing organization.
• Availability to travel periodically as needed.
• Admitted and active in at least one state bar.
• Preference for position to be based in Chicago, Illinois, with plenty of work-from-home flexibility.
• Experience in the insurance industry and with standard managing general agent agreements is a bonus, but not required.
