Corporate Education Specialist Job Summary: South Arkansas College is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Corporate Education Specialist to join our Career Accelerator team. This role plays a pivotal part in supporting the college's mission to deliver high-quality education and workforce development programs. The Corporate Education Specialist will oversee course registration processes, manage the electrical and plumbing apprenticeship programs, and collect and analyze metric data for grant reporting and strategic planning. The position reports to the Executive Director for the Career Accelerator. The position is 20% grant funded. Salary/Exemption Status: This is a non-exempt position with an annual salary of $30,000 to $32,000 to commensurate with education and experience. Plus, excellent benefit package. Supervisory Responsibilities: Future supervisor responsibilities for apprentice instructors will be contingent upon professional development and progression within this role. Duties and Responsibilities: Program Administration • Apprenticeship Programs
  • Serve as the primary administrator for the electrical and plumbing apprenticeship programs.
  • Coordinate program schedules, curriculum updates, and instructor assignments.
  • Monitor student progress and ensure compliance with state and federal apprenticeship standards.
  • Prepare quarterly program reports.
  • Act as a liaison between the college, employers, and apprentices to address program needs and resolve issues.
• Registration Support
  • Facilitate student registration processes for corporate education programs, including apprenticeship and workforce training courses.
  • Provide guidance to students and employers regarding enrollment requirements and deadlines.
  • Maintain accurate records of student enrollment, attendance, and completion.
Data Collection and Reporting
  • Gather, analyze, and report program metrics, including enrollment, completion rates, and employer feedback, to support grant compliance and strategic planning efforts.
  • Collaborate with the executive director, grants administrator and institutional research team to ensure accurate and timely reporting appropriate stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain systems for tracking program outcomes and identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Abilities: • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Proficiency in data collection and analysis for reporting and strategic planning. • Ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders. • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to challenges. • Attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining records and documentation. • Technological proficiency, including the ability to use Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel), database management systems, and virtual meeting platforms. • Knowledge of workforce development trends and community education practices is a plus. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment. Required Education and Experience: • Associate's degree in education, business administration, workforce development, or a related field (or significant experience in an administrative role) • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and database management systems. Preferred Education and Experience: • Experience in apprenticeship or workforce development program management. • Knowledge of grant reporting and compliance processes. • Familiarity with state and federal apprenticeship standards. • Experience working in a higher education or corporate training environment. Physical Requirements: • Work in an office setting with extended periods of sitting. • Lift 10 pounds occasionally. Application Agreement Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
