Job Description :
Our client is a global media company and is looking to add a Corporate Human Resources Manager to their team. This individual will be responsible for leading performance management and employee relations for designated business units while enhancing the HR function domestically. The ideal candidate will be able to successful collaborate with the global HR team on effective HR strategies and employee focused practices. Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and advocate to both leaders and employees regarding a variety of issues
  • Partner with department leaders and in-house legal team, as appropriate, on employee relations matters such as, performance management, reorganizations, and terminations
  • Facilitate the annual compensation review process for assigned client groups in partnership with leadership and the Compensation team
  • Partner with the department leaders and hiring managers to make staffing recommendations and draft job descriptions for open roles or redefined positions
  • Partner with the Compensation team to make comp package recommendations to leaders for open positions, promotions, or role changes.
  • Assist and at times manage the recruitment process for assigned client groups
  • Draft and distribute internal HR communications
  • Analyze, interpret, develop and implement HR policies, programs and procedures
  • Escalate, as necessary, matters that may present liability or risk
  • Organize, lead, and manage annual Summer Intern program
  • Plan, organize and manage onsite wellness and employee engagement initiatives
  • Ensure proper administration of and compliance with Federal and State employment laws and regulations including labor, wage, immigration, EEO, and ADA
  • Support the execution of various HR initiatives as they arise
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Professional HR certification a plus
  • 5+ years of relevant HR experience; Financial industry background a plus
  • Proven understanding and awareness of employment laws, industry trends and current practices
  • Established ability to build collaborative relationships at all levels with strong desire to help others
  • Strategic thinker with proven ability to influence and lead
  • Outstanding communicator with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong ability to effectively handle multiple priorities and tasks
  • Demonstrated can-do attitude, quick learning and willing to take on challenges
  • Curious, interested, and self-motivated to learn and grow
  • Proficient with HRIS systems (i.e.: Workday, Greenhouse) and Microsoft Office, including Teams
