This is a hybrid role that must be based in Harrisburg, PA or surrounding areas. Must be willing/able to come into the office as needed.

We are looking for a Corporate Recruiter / HR Generalist to support our Human Resources Department.

Summary:

The Corporate Recruiter / HR Generalist is responsible for performing duties primarily in the following areas: recruiting, HR administration, employee relations, onboarding, and policy implementation.

Responsibilities:

  • Recruiting for exempt, non-exempt, and temporary employees
  • Establish strong positive relationships with hiring managers
  • Learn and understand the positions and talent requirements within D&H
  • Learn and understand compensation structure and demonstrate ability to make effective recommendations to hiring managers
  • Coordinate and manage onboarding process including background checks, drug tests, new hire paperwork, orientation, training, mentor program, stay interviews, and 40 & 80 days review process
  • Recommend new approaches, policies and procedures to continually improve efficiency of the department and services performed
  • Compile reports from HRIS and ATS systems
  • Stay up to date and ensure compliance with federal, state and local employment laws requirements by enforcing adherence to requirements
  • Administration of policies/procedures in a fair and consistent manner
  • Meet deadlines in a fast-paced and high-intensity environment
  • Perform clerical and administrative duties with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Communicate effectively with high degree of professionalism
  • Ability to pitch in and help with needs of HR department as needed
  • Assist with employee relations counseling and exit interviewing
  • Manage “leave” process (FMLA, ADA, STD etc.)

  • Excellent communication with all employees to ensure that they receive all information necessary for success.
  • Excellent organizing, prioritizing, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills, including understanding when it is necessary to operate with a strong sense of urgency

  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and establish priorities, meet multiple deadlines, and handle multiple competing tasks and demand.
  • Maintain a high degree of professionalism and ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Perform clerical and administrative duties with accuracy and attention to detail

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in HR or related field or equivalent education, training and experience.
  • 1-2 years of HR Generalist experience.
