POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the general direction of the Corporate Director of Talent Acquisitions, the Recruiter is responsible for working to ensure that effective recruitment strategies are implemented and carried out. The Onboarding / Recruitment Coordinator is responsible for establishing and maintaining a program that includes aspects related to the recruitment, hiring, orientation, and retention of staff.
JOB-SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Development and implementation of recruitment and retention goals.
- The Onboarding / Recruitment Coordinator screens, interviews, and refers candidates for all positions.
- Recommends recruitment strategies to the VP of HR and assists in developing the recruitment plan to keep patient care and the hospital's mission and vision foremost.
- Attends and participates in college job fairs and recruiting sessions.
- Collaborates with department managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria.
- Collaborates with the hiring manager and/or other human resource staff during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details.
- Documentation of all calls and recruitment activity
- Works on recruiting projects as requested
- Creatively utilize a variety of tools (e.g., email, telephone, social media) to prospect and contact candidates
- Convert recruits to field associates in a timely manner
- Work closely with marketing to request advertisement placement in journals, internet job boards, and direct mail
- Secure missing documents from potential candidates before placement
- Willingness to keep abreast of new techniques in corporate teaching in HR
- Identify and assess training needs within a company.
- Help employees improve upon or enhance existing skills.
- Complete weekly reports for tracking metrics
- Maintain and encourage communication with your assigned facilities/hospitals
- Performs other duties as assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor's degree in related field
EXPERIENCE:
- Four (4) years experience with Bachelor's degree
- Health care experience preferred
- 3-5 years recruitment experience
- Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systems.
