CORRECTIONAL OFFICER CAPTAIN - 70002661 - STATE OF FLORIDA : Job Details

This Correctional Officer Captain position is located at Cross City Correctional Institution. The incumbent in this position is considered to have regulatory responsibilities and is subject to the provisions of Chapter 60 L-36, Florida Administrative Code. The Officer assigned to this position has the responsibility of supervising Correctional Officers and Correctional Officer Sergeants assigned to any security post on any of the established shifts. This position serves as the initial Commander during emergency situations. Also plans, organizes and coordinates the activities of all Correctional Officers and Correctional Officer Sergeants assigned to a shift. Duties include but are not limited to the following: Delegates post assignments, specific duty assignments, coordinates leave use and ensures accurate completion of attendance and leave reports.
