CORRECTIONS CASE WORKER - Jackson County Missouri : Job Details

• Responsible for interviewing inmates daily; collecting, verifying, coordinating, and recording inmate information manually and in the current inmate information computer system.
• Enters inmate data into the Objective Jail Classification System that identifies inmates' custody level and then assigns appropriate housing; determines the program needs of the inmate and makes appropriate referrals to education, substance abuse, mental health and other treatment programs.
• Initiates collateral contacts with the inmate's community support systems to enhance treatment goals; coordinates treatment interventions for the inmate between the various divisions such as education, mental health, medical. probation and parole, and other involved parties.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associate's Degree in Behavioral Sciences, or a related field.
• Four years of experience in a correctional institution.
• Must submit to and pass a police background check, drug screen and physical examination.
