The Department of Corrections, State Correctional Institution (SCI) at Chester is seeking a highly motivated and dependable Corrections Stock Clerk. If you want to work with a team that is committed to hard work and public service, we want to talk to you!DESCRIPTION OF WORK As a Corrections Stock Clerk, you will be responsible for the receipt, storage, distribution, and inventory control activities for stock items and supplies in a warehouse environment. You will maintain attendance records and train inmates to complete assignments. In addition, you will operate motor vehicles, fork lifts, and hand trucks to move heavy items, remove scrap materials, or make deliveries. This role requires strong situational awareness to exercise care, custody, and control over inmates that ensures work area safety and security.Interested in learning more? Additional details regarding this position can be found in the position description.Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment, 40 hours per week. Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year of stockroom, warehouse, retail sales, or clerical experience; or An equivalent combination of experience and training. Special Requirements:This position requires possession of an active motor vehicle license. Additional Requirements: Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
