Position: Cost AccountantLocation: Pascagoula, MSKey Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Compile and analyze financial or cost information to prepare various reports, including:
- Comparison and budgetary reports.
- Journal entries.
- Balance sheet reconciliations.
- Monthly financial statements.
- Other reports summarizing the company's financial position.
- Cost Analysis: Analyze job costs to ensure they conform to policy and compare them to project budgets. Record any necessary adjustments in the general ledger.
- Audit Participation: Participate in incurred cost audits and interact with the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA).
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- Experience: At least 2 years of accounting experience is preferred.
- Skills:
- Experience with General Ledger (GL) functions.
- Proficient in preparing balance sheets and income statements.
- Experienced in project costing.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially MS Excel.
- Additional Knowledge: Familiarity with or experience in working with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FARs) is preferred.
