Cost Accountant - Robert Half : Job Details

Cost Accountant needed in Fort Atkinson area for a well-established manufacturing company! Reporting to the Controller, the Cost Accountant will prepare multiple analysis and variance reports, track inventory flow, participate in preparing annual budgets, and prepare month-end journal entries. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field and have 2-3+ years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in food manufacturing. This is an onsite position.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience in related field is preferred.
• Experience of manufacturing cost systems.
• Excellent proficiency in all Microsoft Office Suite Products.
• Strong analytical and communication skills required
• Excellent interpersonal skills. Must be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization
• Proficient knowledge of ERP systems, preferably SAP
• Proficient knowledge of cost accounting principles
• Basic knowledge of financial analysis
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to be resourceful, demonstrate business acumen, creative thinking skills and be able to act as a decision maker.
• Maintain confidentiality of personnel and payroll information
• BA/BS or equivalent is preferred.
• Finance or Accounting.
• Work can be performed within a manufacturing plant environment with noise, extreme temperatures, and significant movement of powered equipment, people and conveyor (may depend on the role).
• Work conditions are typical of an office & plant environment.
