Position OverviewAlliance Automation is seeking a cost accountant to manage and analyze project costs, providing critical financial insights that drive decision-making and operational improvements. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in accounting, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and experience with financial systems and reporting tools.Top 5 Responsibilities

Additional Responsibilities / Duties
- Ensure accurate tracking and reporting of project costs, revenues, and margins from project inception to completion.
- Act as primary point of accounting knowledge for operations, guiding decision making and helping towards continuous improvement.
- Perform journal entries and account reconciliations as it relates to inventory and project costs for month-end close.
- Prepare Percentage of Completion calculation for revenue recognition.
- Support the preparation of budget and forecasts.
- Complete actual to budget/forecast variance analysis and report on significant discrepancies.
- Identify areas for process improvements, propose solutions, and assist in implementation.
- Help establish and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and promote financial integrity.
- Perform ad-hoc reporting and special projects as needed.
- Cross-train on various accounting functions as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP as it applies to a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with Percentage of Completion Accounting.
- Expertise in budgeting and month-end close processes.
- Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools, including NetSuite, NetSuite Planning and Budgeting, CounterPart, and Concur.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Excellent critical thinking, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Able to work in a dynamic environment with changing priorities.
- Assist work on cross-functional teams to support business operations.
- Minimum of 2-5 years of accounting experience.
