With responsibility for new product / program profitability, the Cost Estimating Manager leads a team of cost estimators who work cross functionally to determine complete cost and minimum required pricing based upon company established profitability targets.Why This is a Great Opportunity

Job Responsibilities
- Leads the product / program quoting process ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency.
- Develops tools and processes for product / program quoting and drives continuous improvements. Continuously improve processes through automation where possible.
- Product Costing: Possesses a deep understanding of product costing including direct (labor and material) and indirect costs (variable and fixed overhead) as well as fully landed costs.
- Builds a strong team to ensure profitably results into the future, and drives accountability within the team to ensure accurate, timely, and efficient quotes are delivered to the organization so decisions can be made quickly.
- Analyze and simplify complex cost data for executive decision-making.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to gather and distribute necessary information to meet project deliverables.
- Build and mentor a high-performing team of cost estimators to achieve organizational profitability goals.
Requirements/Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Engineering or Business Administration, or equivalent combination of technical and manufacturing work experience and education.
- 3+ years of experience in a cost estimating position, with a strong financial acumen.
- 3+ years of management experience in an automotive or plastics manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated experience working in product costing and quoting including direct, indirect costs, and fully landed costs.
- Demonstrated knowledge of machines and tools required in the production and control of company products as well as logistics and relative costs.
- Strong problem-solving skills, especially in complex, high-stakes situations.
- Proficient in developing and implementing process improvements.
- Excellent leadership and team-building capabilities.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Superior communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
