Job Title: Cost EstimatorJob Description

The primary responsibility of the Cost Estimator will be to use manufacturing data to estimate time, money, materials, and labor required to complete a project. Key Duties include creating low-cost solutions for raw materials, special subcontracted processes, internal manufacturing processes & tooling. The role involves identifying and generating RFQs for materials that are consistent with current buying practices and RFQs for subcontracted special processes. The Cost Estimator will develop estimated manufacturing processes consistent with knowledge of manufacturing processes within the company and its supply base, maintain a tracking system for open quotes to ensure timely delivery of quotes between the Sales and Purchasing departments, and input data into the quote module for documenting material costs, subcontract costs, manufacturing operations, tooling, notes, etc.

Hard Skills

+ 5+ Years of Cost Estimator experience

+ Automotive industry experience

+ Experience working in a CNC machining or stamping environment

+ Proficient understanding and use of manufacturing ERP systems

+ A.S degree in a STEM related field or Business Management

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 12 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Dayton, Ohio.

Work Environment

Heavy automotive/aerospace manufacturing environment (CNC and stamping)
